Hi

I was just wondering which of the above I should check to see be able to forecast update (or even once it started but ain't it the www)

<added> I'm also looking for scripts or codes to convert my messy server logs into 'readable' materials.
Any idea of where to look or what language to use </added>

Like most I tend to jump between both, but I think www2 normally starts first

Hi,

Have you tried looking at AwStats for reading your server logs?

Question 1 - the easiest place to look is here! At the beginning of the dance you'll see a difference in the number of backlinks to a site between www (old index) and www2 and www3 (new index). Traditionally people search for link:www.yahoo.com but you can do it with any site that the figure is likely to change for.

Question 2 - try in the Tracking and Logging forum.
