-the only thing you search yahoo for is backlinks.
-you just glance at webmaster world ten times a day for an extremely long thread.
-you know who darrin ward is.
-you have to up your dosage of prozac at the end of the month.
-you make stupid puns about dancing
-you have made any posts about a "big red button"
-you know how many datacenters google has
-you have "spidey sense" for everflux
-you have posted a "premature egooglation" thread (claiming the update has started when it really hasn't)
-you have spent any time asking, reading, or speculating on when the "it" would begin
-you have studied and constantly reference the full moon chart and dates that the update began.
Anyone care to fill in any that I missed?
I was bored.:)
watching the update and changes in positions of a couple of my sites? ;)
You mean like spending all my days on a forum learning the top do's and don't of SEO. Checking for google updates every 10 minutes, and checking competitors tactics for SERP positioning and if they are not trying to spamm SE to get better PR ... hummmm souds like something I've never done before ;)
....Brett and the admin/mods starting to combine the various update threads into one big one.
You know it's getting closer when.....
....Brett removes the various update threads from the recent posts.....
....People start to *see* changes in the SERPs......
....Yahoo see's a traffic spike but strangely few page views.....
You know it's happening when.....
....A thread on WW goes from 0 to 500 posts in less than 10 minutes.....
....The "Ive been banned from Google" threads begin.....
You know it's over when.....
...the "is my site banned?" threads begin.....
...the "my competitors are spamming and they're still number one" threads begin.....
...new users arrive on the forum, drawn in by the addictive paranoia of the rest of us.....
And then Google cycle is over....
....until next month!;)

- You find youself applying algorithmic processes to everday events (This movie has to be good - box office gross times positive reviews divided by negative reviews plus line at the theatre multiplied by a great title - er name.......).
