What's the best link structure for SE rankings? I'm creating a huge site, < 5,000 pages. What's the best way to optimize my internally linking structure. Naturally, I have a hierarchial structure, as this is the easiest way for users to find relevant info. I have homepage, 7 top level links, and then subcategories under each top level link, with either more subcategories or content pages. I use a breadcrumb, as well as a "back to preceding link - (named after the link before it)" on every page. I use an include page on every page of my site that links to the top level links as well as my homepage.

I'm particulary concerned because I want to target a lot of keyword phrases (all revolving around 1 or 2 big phrases), but the way I've got it arranged now gives most of the Page rank to the home page.

Don't get to caught up in Page Rank. It's only a snmal part of SEO and you shouldn't let it spoil simple navigation of the site.

I have a similar problem. I have a site that has around 15,000 pages of content (although I have to say the content is not the best just names and address). A 3-4 level site map has been created to provide clear routes to these content pages.

Two questions,

1) do you think that Google will index these content pages
2) any ideas on how I can optimise 15,000 pages of content
