I'm *not* suggesting that the update has started, just pointing out an interesting change.

Right now on www-cw.google.com I'm seeing very different placements for results on my main keyword. These same results showed up briefly on www last week. My own site has moved from 9 to 6, and other sites have shifted position fairly dramatically in the top ten.

Anyone else seeing changes for their own keywords?

Any idea what Google might be doing?

Yankee and powdork, I've stickied you the search I did, which is still showing different results.

Now I'm off to bed!

I'm getting the same results on both. Could it be geo-specific?

I saw some really strange results earlier in the day, and then they were gone again. There were a bunch of spam sites inserted into the serps. It lasted about 20 minutes for me here in Spokane. It had me spooked for a little while. Just Google playing with the algo I suspect. They were results that I don't think would ever stick. So, just one of those Everflux things.

At least 3 of us are noticing some strange changes with google. So it is sure they are messing around with the algo. :)
