Inbound links/PPC

How do inbound links affect PPC search rankings?

I currently have a site which has hardly any inbound links, and is ranked ok but not great in some of the search engines. I run my own business working 15 hour days on it, with alkmost no time for SEO. If I paid for PPC with e-spotting, this would increase my ranking regardless of inbound links right? Or does PPC function better if your site is better optimised?

PPC sites will not help your ranking or link popularity on Google. Personally, I think they are a waste of money. A good SEO is a long term strategy that has long term lasting results. The biggest problem with PPC is once you stop paying the benefits are gone.
If you need an SEO sticky me ;)

IMO these are two separate issues. PPC success is a function of CTR, design of your site and amount you're willing to spend.
Keep in mind not everyone can be on page one of the free SERP's no matter how much they SEO, especially for highly competitive areas.(there's just not enough room!)
PPC can prove traffic and result$, but optimize too!
