I've manage to get a PR8 site to link to mine :) however the link looks like this....

<a href="links.php?op=show&amp;siteid=27" target="new">

I'm siteid=27, since the click test works. My question is PR being transfered to me or is this a duff link?

In theory I believe the answer is yes, the PR can be transferred in this way. But IMO you should check if the site shows up as a backlink for any of the other sites it links to in this manner.

You should also check what kinda redirect he's using, I think you want him to use a 301 redirect (permanent) but I'm not entirely sure :)

Some say google doesn't like too many query parameters (this=1&that=2) ... some say no more than 1. So your example link prob doesn't get crawled.

What about their robots.txt? If there's no entry for "links.php" a robot *is allowed* to crawl it.
