We are finally doing OK for the keywords that are important to us.
Now, the company has decided to begin using a new URL that better reflects our services.
I am unsure of the best way to approach the move to the new URL. I was thinking of doing a redirect from the old URL to the new one and submit the new URL to Google. I would then have both URLs active until we get half decent placement. I would then remove the old URL completely with the "no spider" statement.
Is this the best path for me to take? I would prefer not to lose our placement but I also don't want to be penalized either...
