accepted or banned?

My stats show a visit from googlebot, but it does not appear in the search results if I search for the URL in google.

Given that Google can take a few weeks to index a site, and I've no idea if and when this has occured, how can I tell if my site has been accepted or banned by google?

Like you said, search for the url. It can take two months to get indexed, so you have to be patient. Work on improving the site and getting incoming links while you wait.
