So, I don't do much organic SEO anymore (just PPC automated managment), but dabble in it for my wife's site. While doing some research I noiticed that her category in Yahoo has ZERO pagerank.

A google backward link analysis of her URL shows that a different Yahoo category is pointing to her site (one with a positive rank).

Have any of you noticed this? Do you suppose Google selects a regional full list category and then ignores the sub-categories alltogether?

There are a lot of PR 0 pages in Yahoo reg to the deepness where they appear.
The example you posted is one of these buried subcategories.

Yahoo often changes its category structure. What you can see this month, and what has been spidered within the recent deepcrawl thatīs now showing in the results, could has been changed, but itīs not yet available as calculated pagerank.
So you think there is a difference, but itīs just a kind of moving categories.

Hi Kevin - I saw didit and thought it must be you... and it is. Welcome to the boards.

As to that particular Yahoo category with zero PR, maybe that's a reflection of government funding in this particular area. I've always thought there are a lot of analogies between the web and the real world.

Up the tree. Unless something has been moved around, this is odd.
