Sorry if this has been discussed else where.

I have a php/mysql news site with content added daily. every night a script runs and archives all news stories into static html pages.

the static pages are quite simple and dont have much on them except the one article, a banner + logo. They also have two iFrames so i can bring in additional content without creating big files.

They have the news headline as the page title, an <H1> at the top of the page and an <h2> directly above the article.

Until a couple of months ago all these static pages were doing nicely with a PR5, but now every update the gbot comes and assigns them all pr0 or pr1 - some are taken out completely.

Is the 3 repetitions of the same phrase considered spamming? it looks ok on the page and makes sense to visitors.

any input much appreciated
thanks

Hi benihana

I really don't think you've got a problem with excessive density, and certainly not to a level that would imply a penalty.

What I think is probably happening is that as your site grows your incoming PR is having to be stretched thinner and thinner across more and more pages.

Solution: Work on increasing your incoming links, and look at your navigation structure to make sure it is distributing your PR the way you want it to.
