How do you find out if it been banned by google?

I am looking at a domain name and want to know where I can go to see the history of the name and also where I can go to find out if there's a ban on it or not. Thanks all.

I don't know about how or if you can check what Google thinks of it, but you can check to see if the domain has been used before at www.archive.org.
