Do a search for which you know heavy interlinking by domain farms is happening.
Click the right-mouse and choose: "expand similar sites"
Keep on doing this for the different results and you have a nice "webgraph" visualisation. [webmasterworld.com]
Basically you can expand by "similar sites" and "backlinks"

The nice thing about Anacubis is the simple layout and the backlink option.
(problem is that often backlinks are internal pages)
As far as I understand Touchgraph does not incorporate backlinks, but I could be wrong.
What are you using these tools for? Hunting out link potential is the obvious one with the similar sites. However is it just me or is the backlinks side vertually useless as it seems to incorporate many internal pages and on first glance only shows the top ten links.
Any other uses that I am blatently missing?
As pointed out in this thread, [webmasterworld.com...] sometimes a simple list is an easier overview than these visual tools.
But if you read Touchgraphs comments in that same thread I think (once you bought a 21 inch screen) the clustering can be very interesting. For linkhunting, for community identification, topic and keyword(s) identification and last but not least checking competitors link farms.
It is with linkfarms that often mini-sites are used, where the only backlnks showing are external sites (the inner pages often dropping below PR4), Anacubis allows such a visualisation in one go or page.

Isn't there a limit to the amount of API queries allowed per domain per day? Maybe that's it, I doubt googles API interface is down.

this message also appears if you happen to run the sun java plugin, don't know why, but if you turn off the plugin as default java runtime for your browser (use the control panel applet), it works.
Btw, they mention that there's no limit on the number of queries. How's that? Unlimited access to the api?
Hmm if someone could take this java thing apart, and the key is there...
