Sometimes gray bar on my site?

I got a strange problem, some of my domains show the grey bar in google toolbar when I look at those domains by directly typing the url into the browser, however if I search for those domains directly in google (using the domain name without .com)they will be found and upon clicking the link and loading the site, the PR shows just fine.

Anyone has an explanation for this?

Running any redirects? Are you sure you are looking at the same page? Often, domain.com/index.html will show as domain.com/. Those are two different pages to google. Type in the full url including filename to your index page and see what the bar says.

Yup Brett, I am sure I was looking at the same site, there are no redirects.

However now it works again, I guess it had to do with the update still going on or something.

Oh, Brett one more question : imagine a site with a lot of .html pages all linking back to the main index - just a comon scheme with a navigation bar - Is it better to link to the main page using the "index.html" or to link it this way "http://domain.com/"?

Matuloo... great question, I hope somebody can help. Most of mine are setup simply as index.html, but I am now wondering if there might be a slight boost with the full url.
