How long before we see the deepcrawler?

Need to make updates. How long do I have?

I need to make some updates to my site for the next update. How long before the deep crawler comes out to start indexing things for next month? Do I have time?

Glad you posted this--I was about to. I think the answer is that we'll start deepcrawling quite soon, in order to get closer to our regular schedule.

One really important point that everyone should think about is the "If-Modified-Since" feature of your webserver. It allows us to do much better crawling and coverage while reducing the load on your webserver. Please see this post for more details:
