A Short Pagerank Question

Is the pagerank the same when all sites are addressed with index.php?id=x?

Hello,
I got a Question to Google's Pagerank:

Example: I got 3 pages:
index.php PR6
page2.php PR3
page3.php PR3

Now when I address page1 and page2 with
index.php?id=page1 and
index.php?id=page2
will they both have PR6? (PR of index.php)

I thought at first that it would be one less, like a directory down would be, but I just checked some of my pages in that same situation and they are all the same PR as the index.php.

I would avoid using 'id' in the query though, due to Googles dislike of things that looks like session IDs.

Ah, I see. Thank you for your response.
Wouldn't it be smart then to use always index?page1 instead of page1.php? In that way all pages get the same PR.

- avoid "id" (use page or something other instead)
- as long as your link structure doesn't change, also the PR will not change. PR is calculated from the link structure. As long as the structure isn't changed it doesn't matter if the pages are called index1.htm, index2.htm, ... or index.php?page=1, ...
- since PR just depend on the structure, it is also independent from directories

With link structure you mean like how many clicks are needed to get to a site, right?

link structure means how your pages are connected.

Take a sitemap and draw an arrow for each link on each page. As long as this structure is unchanged it does't matter how you name a page, where it is located or if it is dynamically generated or static.
