Google Refuses To Display Interior Pages After Update

Here's the situation:

Site has 68 pages in the new Google index. In the previous update, these pages did well for their keywords. These are not freshbot pages.

Looking at the SERPS on www2, it appears that any query that would have previously led to the home page continues to do so after the update, in about the same position as last month.

However, any query that previously led to an interior page now yields no results at all. I even tried searching for 'company name privacy policy' -- formerly #1, now not to be found in any of the 500+ results displayed. Searching for "Company Name Privacy Policy" (in quotes) does show the page as the only result.

Changes since last month:

1. Now listed in the Google directory for the home page, after the DMOZ update.

2. Changed the bottom footer on every page to list three store locations instead of one.

3. Added a 'Tell a friend' link on most pages that links to an on-site php script.

4. Added specific links on most pages to take user to related pages, in addition to the menu. So for example, on a page about blue widgets, link would say something like
See our collection of <red widgets>
Find out about <custom widgets>

There are 3 or 4 of these per page.

That's about it. Home page PR4, interior pages 2s and 3s, even after update. Freshbot began visiting site last month, continues to visit this month.

Anybody have any ideas? Should I take out any/all of the above? Wait until next month?

Thanks in advance.

Hm, can't see anything in what you describe that could lead to those problems.
Are you sure the pages are in the index? Did you search for the urls?

The URLs are very definitely in the index.

However, after checking PR again, the home page is now 2, and all interior pages seem to be 0. So, there seems to be some sort of penalty, although I'll be darned if I can figure out why.

it is probably not be the chages you did last month that affected your ranking. Google always lags behind real life. check the chached versions of you pages and have a look if you can figure out from them if anything went wrong.

The changes described above are reflected in the cached pages. They were all made in late January before the February crawl.
