Suppose a site becomes penalized for whatever reason, now all the sites that link to that site will also be penalized and so on and so on?

I have a penalized page that i must link to,
(it got a penalty for having a redirect briefly)

So now will this penalty spread like a cancer to my main site and all the sites that link to me?

This seems indiscrimiate.

No domino effect, otherwise the web would be entirely PR0.

It should not be a problem if you link to lots of other sites. How about using a JavaScript link?

Why do you *need* to link to them? Why were they penalized?

i host my message board at ezboard, it is integrated with my site, but the front page of the message board got a PR0 due to having a redirect breifly.
