AWA's Alerts

Hi all - I just thought I'd start an 'AWA's Alerts' thread, that I could bring to the top of the page when I have advance notice to offer concerning AdWords maintenance, and so forth. In the past, I've just piggy-backed on other threads, but I think this is a better solution.

Along those lines, I wanted to mention that, today, for a period of three hours or so (most likely between 2:00pm and 5:00pm Pacific Time) you may notice that your stats are not updating. The timing mentioned here is estimated, BTW - so please don't set your watch by it. ;)

Stats will be collected as normal during this time, and will then be updated later in the day.

So, bottom line, no stats will be lost - they will just be delayed beyond the usual three hour time frame.

My apology for any inconvenience this may cause, and I hope the advance notice will help to minimize this.

Hi all,

I got an alert from the tech team a short time ago, which I'd like to pass on:

The pages under the 'My Account' tab will be temporarily unavailable this Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm PDT and next Saturday, August 6th, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm PDT due to maintenance. While you'll still be able to log into your accounts, you won't be able to view invoices, change your billing address, or update your credit card during this time. Don't worry, your campaigns will still be running normally while you're out enjoying the summer sun!

Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this might cause.

This alert is also applied for AdSense account for Saturday July 30th from 12-2PM as ASA's alert.

During this time we also can't access to the "My Account" page in the AdSense account.

So the AdSense and AdWords teams are now very much on the same wavelength.

Good news! Today I have an, uhm....an Un-Alert...

Earlier, I reported that:

The pages under the 'My Account' tab will be temporarily unavailable
this Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm PDT and next Saturday, August 6th, from
8:00 am to 1:00 pm PDT due to maintenance. While you'll still be able to log
into your accounts, you won't be able to view invoices, change your billing
address, or update your credit card during this time. Don't worry, your
campaigns will still be running normally while you're out enjoying the
summer sun!

Un-Alert: I've just learned that there almost certainly not be maintenance this coming Saturday, August 6th, 2005. ;)

AWA , any hint when quality-based minimum bids will be live?

I was guessing that since they were having a maintenance window on Sat Aug 6th that this new Minimum CPC functionality would be rolled out on Monday Aug 8th. But now it looks like that is not happening.

Thank you very much!

This kind of advance information is really helpful.

Hi all,

I just wanted to exercise the Alerts thread a bit, and let you all know that we are currently launching the keyword status changes and quality-based minimum bids - and that the launch will be completed shortly.

Once the launch is completed, and once everyone has had a chance to take a look, I'll do my best to answer questions later in the day. Please know that it is rather busy here today. ;)

In order to reserve this thread for Alerts, though, let's not start a new discussion on this subject here. At present, it seems there are multiple threads on the subject, the most active of which is this one:

This is an alert thread that we're letting Google post exclusively in it from now on.

I've deleted a few replies (and will delete this one as well in time).

Please post any discussions in the relevant thread and not here.

Thank you.
