No improvements here guys, it's all dead and getting worse.

Last day of January is really pathetic :(

Also, it's a shame that Microsoft has nothing like AdSense. G and MS are basically competing with each other in every niche, why not here?

Democracy should be everything.

Auto ads officially launched, anyone willing to try? :D

Yup! I am seeing Auto-Ads in my account too. I think I might take a wait see approach on this one.

We've been testing auto ads for months now. Gives you about an additional 5 - 10%. At least for us. Nothing spectacular, but enough to make a little bit of difference.

@foreverlearnings Right, but what he specifically said is "My recommendations, one auction per page view." I believe i will loose about that much as well

@kegnum, yes. What he meant was that one auction for Adsense ads and another for Media.net ads. So, if you remove Media.net then adsense auction is the one which remains. I guess you thought 1 auction = 1 ad placement - which also makes sense but then ads in different positions on the same page can't compete with one another. So, we can safely assume that he meant Ad network.

@Maximum I'm happy as long as earnings remain same or more, and keeps me safe from BAS, what else do we need!

@foreverlearning gotcha. Thanks for clarifying

To be clear, if one uses only AdSense then there will be one auction for all the ad placements on the page. Different advertisers can appear for the various placements but the price is determined as function of all the placements. If you have media.net ads on the page as well, then there will be a second auction for the media.net placements. If media.net is then showing AdSense it is effectively auctioning off your inventory on the AdSense network such that you are competing against yourself and paying someone to do this.

Essentially what media.net must do is auction off the inventory among its advertisers with a set price floor, if it can't sell the placements at that price it turns to AdSense and sells the inventory at whatever price it can take.

Good info on media.net. I have them on a good number of pages and they severely underperform. I'm going to get rid of everything (already bounced infolinks) except adsense and conversant (valueclick, fastclick).

Good luck to all.

Yes, good luck to all. Still not shiny over here - 66% down from this time last year, -50% last 28 days vs. this 28 days.

Never a dull darn moment. Hope Google's happy....

What are these auto ads all about then? I got nothing to lose so I'm going to try them. Be really interesting to see if they improve my earnings. If they don't, then what is the point?

@Ironside This also ensures that you follow BAS, and maintain user experience without reducing earnings, I guess?

@Ironside It seems interesting, and I can't stop myself from trying new things :P Though I'm wondering if it can conflict with G Webmaster rules, it's a AI after all :D

Well, I've got nothing to lose by trying it, my earnings are absolutely diabolical at the moment. If I get to triple figures this month are be very lucky, I only just managed to reach triple figures last month.

What are these auto ads all about then?

I tried them, when it was the Lab option. Didn't see any improvement. Actually, didn't see any difference in anything at all.
Worth mentioning, that since 3-4 years ago my website has dynamic layout. It's recalculated on every page load and depends from various factors. Ads are loading accordingly. Basically this is exactly what auto ads do. They supposed to be loaded, depending on the page context. Probably that's why I didn't see anything at all, switching them on.

After testing I believe this option is good for moms&pops style websites, when website owners barely understand IT and just expose content they have online. Like blogging platforms.

Down 70%+ since Sept.

Side note: removed media.net from the sidebar 2 days ago.. that unit had a $0.55 RPM. Replaced it with an adsense unit which has had an RPM of $0.51... not sure how since they are partially "piggy backing" off of adsense.. but facts are facts... will leave the unit for a few days.. if nothing changes.. im going back to media.net for that particular unit.

We are down 67% over this time last year. Why does G. not care? Why are they (essentially) telling us it's all our own fault? I know some of you DO have responsive sites etc. as they require.

@MayankParmar ... can you tell me how or where one can even begin with Adx?

@Unshiny Just get AdSense Certified Partner, and they will get you AdX. This is what I did, though they take 15% from AdX earnings.

@Linda I've tried AdPushup, Ezoic, Cybermedia, right now I'm with Cybermedia just for sake of AdX.

@MayankParmar i tried before but the sign up brought me to a advertiser account.. i have no way to sign up as a publisher. I never found a way to create that type of account. Adx = dfp right?

@Kegnum I'm not aware of any way to signup directly, you need to get a partner such as Cybermedia. Nope, I think AdX and DFP are two different things. A partner will give you a AdX ad unit, and they will take up to 15% share.

Fun fact: AdX is performing better than AdSense since almost one month.
