My AdSense life is almost over, good luck to those who are still earning.

Talk about Google and automated messages!

Today I decided to block all the categories I could since most of what I have been seeing has been irrelevant. Within hours two automated messages appeared on my screen:

You're currently blocking the following sensitive category of ads:

Message 1: Up to 95% predicted increase in weekly earnings.

Message 2: Up to 80% predicted increase in weekly earnings.

Wow, amazing, so I have just stopped myself from earning these two extra amounts have I?

Guess what? Google's predicted increase in earnings is DOUBLE that what I have currently been earning WITH all categories unblocked!

WTF? Honestly G, you haven't a freakin' clue what you're doing.

My 300 x 600 ad unit seem to be okay.

I don't rely on AdSense earnings to pay the bills, it's basically just a little bit of extra income for me. It all comes to an end then it will be sad, but I'm sure we'll be able to find something else to take its place. Media.net seems to be quite good. I'm quite sure that I would earn even more with media.net if the AdSense was removed.

Truth!
I close my eyes and picture The Three Stooges pulling out wires and connecting water pipes where electrical conduit should be over there. Adsense is a complete mess.

Pretty much hard to earn money, competition is tight so many website really need to step-up their game play.

Well, today (8 Oct) seems to be the lowest point in the last few years!

Low on any figures.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld AlyLauren

competition is tight so many website really need to step-up their game play.

I'm not at all sure what this is supposed to mean. If clickers ain't clicking, ad blockers are blocking and served ads are irrelevant, what the heck can the publisher do to step-up their AdSense game play?

I'm simply glad that I do not rely whatsoever on AdSense for an income otherwise I would have been closed after their image grab a couple of years ago.

I believe that AdSense peaked 18 months-two years ago and I simply cannot see the good old days coming back again. Last three or four months have been improving for me, but October is looking a little bit dubious so far, let's just see what happens.

My main earning website is a support resource for people who keep tropical fish. I gave up keeping tropical fish over a year ago, the only reason the website is still running this because I make money from it. I'm pretty sure that if AdSense died then something else would come along. Media.net doesn't and as much for me as AdSense, but it's getting better each month.

Media.net improves the longer you have it on your site. Mine is outperforming AdSense (when I had AdSense on the site). I'm glad your Media.net is getting better each month.

Today's RPM (Still early 9:00 AM PST) is 70% lower than yesterday's.

Yesterday was best day of the month for G ads, but still sucked

Such is the state of Adsense

The funny thing is that they just announced "Signing up for AdSense is now faster and easier"!

Great news for the little Indians with a new account each week!

In the mean time the payment is going down to critical levels without any reason!

It's like a contest each day, to go lower!

I win:-)

So far today I am still on zero with an RPM of 0.01, hmmm, I haven't earned enough yet for the minimum payout, it's all gone ever-so pear-shaped.

Just in case pear-shaped is not understood, check meaning 3:

@Red bar

Have you only got the one website with AdSense? What is your niche? Obviously I don't want you to disclose your website, just interested as to why you're not doing very well.

WooHoo...I have a penny, I have a penny!

I'm in global specialist widget construction products, my realworld business is fine, AdSense has died. In the haydays of AdSense I was earning $10K month, if it continues like today then I'll not even make the minimum.

Earnings from July were halved overnight, last week they did it again, considering all the recent goocrap yesterday had a resemblance of clicks returning to pre-July however the EPC was so low it was hardly worth it.

I was at an international conference and exhibition last week with many of my industry's top players and, quite simply, they're all giving GooBingYah the cold shoulder because of their terrible SERPs. Believe it or not, I have some of the top sites in the world and even I'm struggling for traffic volume ever since their image grab of a couple of years back, like many image centric sites I lost 90% of my traffic thanks to what they did so it's easy to see why my earnings are down.

There is not one company now in my industry which ranks in the Alexa top 100,000, I used to have three alone, they have quite deliberately taken natural traffic and stopped it to keep it on their site.

I thought I'd be removing AdSense by June/July time anyway since I could see the writing on the wall. I'm not bothered, the extra money was always extra fun money, it was never ever considered as a serious job income since I always knew the day would arrive when it would fall flat on its face.

If it makes the minimum this month I'll take it and then remove all remaining AdSense slots and replace them with my own, simple:-)

Hahaha ... Ok, I'm the only person here today, just got back from the pub and found a magnificent 3 clicks and 50 cents earnings.

Awesome stuff G, 1 click each from Canada 34 Cents, USA 8 Cents and India 8 Cents ... WooHoo ... Are you really going to ban me for revealing such awesome information? I'm shaking in my boots awaiting the outcome of this:-)

So I've only been running Adsense on my site for days. Low on traffic; only 662 PV. My Page RPM is $7.57, and the Impression RPM is $2.87. How am I doing?

BTW, I'm very concerned about the ad block stuff. It's a problem. Anyone had luck reverse engineering their adsense placements and pushing those products as an affiliate, or contacting those advertisers to run direct ads? Something's gotta give.

It depends on the niche.
3 day weekend in US, Monday is a non-working day - Columbus day.

I took a "ride" on the add review center...

I don't know if the current deplorable state of Adsense payment is a technical problem or an Adwords problem.
The ads are simply put... rubbish !

I'm at the lowest point ever since the first year of adsense and it gets worse each day.

My Adx representative is silent; it's a low-budget period... he said...

Of course Google want you to advertise everything and not block certain subjects, is more money for them if you allow all adverts on your website.

I don't feel insulted by Google's suggestions, and for all I know, I might actually earn more money if I let Google serve ads for dating services, pharmaceuticals, etc. on my site. But as a publisher, I'm responsible for setting my own ad standards. Google provides the blocking tools; it's up to me to decide whether or how to use them.

I've experimented for a few days with blocking everything and earnings went from awful to dire therefore this morning I am unblocking them all to see IF there is any increase whatsoever.

I sure as heck do not expect to be doing what their silly little boxes predict!

I have to agree. Just because dating adverts etc are of no interest to the website owner, that doesn't mean one of their visitors won't click on them.

However, from what I have learned from visiting thousands of websites each year, Google AdSense will follow the users browsing history. Also, unless the website has a strong theme/niche then the AdSense showing will be very varied, unless of course somebody is paying for advertising space.

RPM for my German sites where I have most of my users has been sinking continuously for the last two years. October is another 20% below previous lows so far. My RPM in the US is great, though. Anyone else suffering from dropping RPM in Europe?

While my adsense revenue shrinks dramatically the last months, I heard this news!
Unbelievable!

News in The Netherlands
"The digital advertising market in the first half of the year grew again, by 7 percent compared to the first half of 2014 a turnover of 744 million euros."

[telegraaf.nl...]

So its an adsense issue

It's always been an Adsense issue. Very likely to be an issue of dishonesty and theft. And incompetency + mismanagement. Yep, makes a lot of *sense*. Their income goes up..........and yours goes down. Makes sense alright.

This statement should not alarm anyone or ruffle any publisher's feathers....

Ever heard the saying, "Give me a gun and I can rob a bank. Give me a bank, and I can rob the world"? How true this saying is.

Big corporations have been screwing the common folk and a whole lot of people for ages, the big banks (where everyone trusts their money with), included.

And Google is most definitely Big Corp. A big corp dealing with TONS of money everyday, which they promised to dispense out to a lot of people worldwide. Yeah, everything is clean over there.

incompetency + mismanagement.

defiantly not this. They know exactly what they are doing.

The minions at Adsense may not know, they just follow the talking points, but higher up they know exactly what they are doing.

Yes, I just added that in as a "get out clause". ;)

Just feeling very disgusted with Google and Adsense, till I don't even bother posting here about it nowadays.

Lately, I've been paying much more attention to my latest project, selling REAL goods to real people. Even looking at opening a brick and mortar store....

Unbelievable!

Our AdSense revenue has grown steadily in the past few months, although it's now starting to trail off for seasonal reasons (as it does every fall).

AdSense isn't the cornucopia that it was in 2003 or 2004, but neither are most other forms of advertising these days.

In 2010 it was possible to make 40k/month with exactly the same traffic which now will earn 4k/month. This is also the main reason they try to approve all adsense accounts instantly. Adsense is just fading away.

I think people look for reviews, for trust, in 2015 they only buy products which are recommended by others. Reviews are the key. Adsense is not about reviews, it is Amazon. When I'm researching a product I know #*$! about I look for reviews. Adsense will never win without having this component for adwords people and display it in the ad.

Adwords evolves around branding NOT about selling therefore adsense publishers have to suffer.

Why is this Goog company worth zillions and zillions not able to give people reviews in their ads?

We are all connected in some way, we need the opinion of others in order to buy something. If Adwords will not provide this option for advertisers, it should stop to exist.

This whole GoogAlpha enterprise or whatever you call it has become Wikipedia. Amazon is the key. In a few years Amazon will buy Google, the reason is, GoogAlpha will be the source for information, Amazon is the source for buying products.
