Yesterday was another low click, high CPC, day. Weird.

When I said Google was the easiest way to make money online, I didn't actually say how much :-) Some people would consider 30 a month to be quite good. You don't need to be a nuclear physicist in order to put a few Google AdSense unit on your website. I tried setting up Amazon affiliate but did not make a single penny so I knocked that on the head.

Whenever I visit my own website, or any other website that contains AdSense, they normally follow my browsing history, they don't necessarily display ads relevant to the content on the website. So if this is the case, why is there so much fuss about ads following the content on your site? Personally, I am much more likely to click on a AdSense unit if it shows something I have already been looking for, sometimes they may show a website that I have found that shows exactly what I am looking for.

I heard a funny online interview with the creator of plenty of fish. Apparently the Google AdSense cheque he took to the bank to cash was too large for them. How I would like to be in that position.

Some people would consider 30 a month to be quite good.

I used Adsense on a community site that I used to run as a volunteer. It barely covered the costs but the object was for the site to be cost neutral so I was happy.

The usual complaint is that the ads follow you around for days after you have purchased the widget being advertised.

Situation for June:
Income down but CTR up and EPC steady. Traffic has dropped but, hopefully, this is just a seasonal issue.

Yesterday was low, then dead, then got up quickly at night :)
then stopped and some of it was discounted, so it didn't end good as it was looking.

The usual complaint is that the ads follow you around

My complain right now is ads follow me everywhere relating things I will never buy, G thinks everything we look for can be turned into a sale. A lot of searches are just that, searches.

Yesterday was another humdinger, more than double my target for a day. Just come back from fishing and only 2 so far, I'll never get my head around AdSense. Anyway, it's only midday in the US so you've got plenty of time to make up some decent amount of money.

I get the impression that I am not the only person who is a little bit obsessed with AdSense :-) I must check it about 10 times a day :-)

@ explorador

I just keep track of what the numbers say, weekly, monthly, and interest-based vs. contextual is about the same. Contextual is slightly ahead, all time.

Something strange happened.
Yesterday morning was good then stopped
In the afternoon, earnings were about 10 (x random number)
Near midnight it was 15 (random number)
Today in the morning it was 9, discounted clicks, etc I guess.
And today at noon YESTERDAY TOTAL IS 12.
Never seen that before.

littlecubpanda, interesting, I have no solid numbers but I get the feeling IBAs are kinda out of tune not just to me.

When I bother looking at Ads, not hard sometimes because some blend into content, I'm always seeing Ads for something I've purchased on eBay the day before, even weeks before.

Utterly pointless.

Yesterday was weird, quick in the morning, halted since then, the night helped and it ended near decent.

Yesterday was excellent, 50% increase over last week, but night ended oddly... slow reporting, a lot of hits not showing up, but then this morning starts off with a bang.

10am - Slow day so far, but earnings just surpassed last month with what's come in. Yesterday was the fourth best day for June, so at least moving in the right direction. Here's to hoping the upward trend continues. Looking forward to July!

Adsense finally did it! While it had earnings, it now says my earnings are 0 for today, yesterday is 0, this month is 0, and no data at all! Weird glitch! Or banned. Yeiiii!

I think its a weird glitch. As over the last 30 minutes or so it shows the same thing for me.

Some of the performance reports work. If I pull up anything the 27th or prior I can pull up reports with actual numbers.

Today's reports have been uncharacteristically off for me as well. The day started off very slowly and then hardly moved at all after 10am. Here's to hoping when I wake up tomorrow, things will be back to normal.

Today is lousy, essentially, because I get so much traffic that does so poorly.

I really think it is the ads Google shows. I wish I could control that more, but I can't. I love how I can have a "custom" site but all I can do is just ban/remove more categories, instead of ALLOWING more categories than I have listed for the other sites. If you use the master "ban categories" list it bans categories for ALL sites. By making a custom site, you can just ban even more categories.

It's all insanely unintuitive and lame.

I don't know what it is. This one site of mine is repellent to clicks.

Lack of control is the price you pay for ease of implementation and getting paid on time every month. If you get the traffic and sell your own ads, you have a LOT more say in the matter - but it's also a lot more work.

Wow - today is a total plummet in earnings. I thought for sure my site was done when I looked at today's earnings so far. Nope - my site is running fine. Yikes.

Looks as though my trade directory site has been wiped out by the current updates ... Oh well, it makes my decision to remove ads and remaining information from Google a lot eaiser.

Yesterday was good, today not so good because CTR is barely half of yesterday. Nothing new.

Worst-ever month, earnings 73.9% of May with the daily average heading much lower towards the end of the month ... tis the Google kiss of death!

Anybody else experiencing what looks like a Google problem, where so many clicks aren't being counted and the CTR has plummeted?

It only seems to be related to text ads, not image. Nothing has changed on the site and Statcounter back that up as it's tracking a hell of a lot more clicks than Adsense are showing.

The earnings today keep going up and then dropping back down.

CPC is remaining the same, so one would think if it was an issue such as a 'slap' by Google, it would be the CPC nose diving, whilst the CTR remaining the same.

Last three days of June just dropped like a rock. No reason I can see for it. Hope July is better!

"Last three days of June just dropped like a rock. No reason I can see for it. Hope July is better!"

Depends how big the rock is.

Some people have had issues since 26th June and some from yesterday/today where text ads CTR has nose-dived, yet image ads are ok, which suggests an error at Google's end.
