Apart from a couple of "glitches" not a bad month.

Best month for the year
Yep, me too though still a long way to get back to 2006/7 style earnings but it's steadily getting there.

Mine too HuskyPup ... I certainly miss those 2006 levels.
What really got to us was the decision to limit the click through area to only the ad itself, not the entire area. Our CTR dropped from double digit levels.

We're down around 10% from August, YoY we have a very positive move up.

Definitely the best month ever! Up 30% from August. Last two days have been crap though and today it's starting with the wrong foot again.

Best month in some time. Highest overall eCPM rate this year.

Best September ever. October is gonna be killer too. Can't compare with June or July though (till I get some more 'year-round' type sites producing better)
Prior to this, my best year was 2008. I'm already at 170% of 2008 revenues (across the board, all sites), and that's only nine months in. Some sites are double and triple what they did last year. So whatever AdSense is doing, I hope they keep doing it.

Here: more traffic than past years, one new site added to the network doing well on traffic (only this week was a disaster on my global adsense numbers)
But at the end the numbers... 7% below september 2009.

Record month... eCPM* for September 2010 was 33% higher than August 2010, and 64% higher than September 2009. CTRs roughly the same.
*Used eCPM to compare since traffic levels increased over 30% from 2009-2010.

September was awesome, down just a hair from last month but that's because I removed one ad unit. If it wasn't for that it would have been a record month.

Got my second best month over the last 6 years. But I did some major changes to my earner website.
Now my website is serving 3 ads, 3 adlinks and 1 searchbox. Still my CTR is low, too low, but I'm happy with my september income.
This october will be a record in my adsense history if everything stay stable.

I don't understand this. In 2008 and 2009 when everyone else was complaining that their earnings took a nosedive, my earnings increased steadily throughout that period.
Now that everyone is reporting a great September, my September was WAY down. Page impressions were about the same or a even little higher, CTR was slightly lower, and eCPM is about 50% of June, July, and early August.
I'd much prefer to earn what I did in June 2010 than 65% of that as September 2010 was.

myrrh - everyone has different sites, different niches, different advertisers, different seo, etc. The trends won't always match up with all publishers. Your past experience shows that. So don't sweat it. Just focus on your stats and work to move forward from there.

@ myrrh - It would be interesting to know which generalised widget sector you are in?
My sites specialised construction products tracked the downturn and since a year ago they have also tracked the steady recovery in many markets.
Even this past week when my trade's largest worldwide exhibition was happening I still had a surprisingly good week.

September 2010 was my best month ever with AdSense. I've been in the program for years, but not since the very beginning. AdSense actually contacted me asking me to run AdSense on my site.
I'm still limiting AS impressions, but I did add a new ad zone to many of my pages, after reviewing how visitors used my site. I recognized I wasn't giving them enough options, and adding an ad zone apparently was helpful.
It's hard to remove yourself from your site and see it as others see it, but in this case it was helpful to do so.
