One thing I have noticed is that my AdLinks have performed disastrously since the glitch, a 50% reduction in clicks and EPC, and considering just over 50% of my earnings comes from AdLinks...hmmm!
When did you apply?
I actually applied about 3 weeks back but I never heard anything. Then I just applied again last night and heard back pretty quickly. I haven't implemented any yet. It's going to be tricky b/c my header, navbar and footer are all modular on my main site, but I have a block of code in each pages content that I would have to change. I'm thinking about pulling the modular code into the home page manually and implementing YPN on just that page for an experiment tonight.
I'm running them again on a few pages and the results are OK but not exactly exciting.
I'm still looking for an ad network to run alongside my affiliate and other advertising that can perform better than AdSense, even the current AdSense which is starting to suck.
Currently, I am seeing that EPC has been dropping like a stone (-20%) compared to October. To us, Adsense is becoming more of a (sad) joke every day. As it looks now, we will wait until after the holiday season and then decide whether to pull Adsense or not.
Income still about 50% down, though, from a SERPs crash (950 penalty). Double Whammy!
I was just thinking: What if a new smart pricing algo was based on the same principle or mathematics as the 950?
In a nutshell, for those who've not followed the infamous Google 950 Penalty that's been discussed for months on the Google News Forum, Google has issued penalties to some websites which send them to the back of the line (approx. #950 in SERPs).
If Google reengineered its smart pricing code similar to the 950, you'd see a huge sudden drop in EPC and revenue, instead of a gradual erosion of income.
The 950 represented a paradigm shift in thinking at Google. It is the harshest penalty outside of an outright ban. If that new mindset permeates the Plex, it is now comfortable thinking in extremes, such as a quick and dramatic slashing of payout to publishers by 30-50%--unannounced, unprecedented, and unexplained.
Does the new reduced income drop for some/many here since October represent a penalty that was applied to your Adsense accounts?
If so, is there a way to get out of the Adsense penalty, like with the 950?
p/g
I added some Adsense banner ads on 11/1 and my results have tanked ever since, even though they are remarkably well targeted to my audience. Average CPC down 33% from October. Are banners worse than text ads?

While we did see a recent drop in toolbar PR on many pages (lost all of our sixes) we've actually seen a surge in Google traffic, even picking up some one word top placements, though not for anything anybody searches on often:-)
So, no search penalties here, but a major fall off in eCPM, which feeds on itself by allowing in cr*p advertisers, which deserve a lousy eCPM. What I call the Adsense death spiral.
Anyone noticing anything even stranger today?
I came to one of four conclusions when I saw mine:
1. Updation delay:-)
2. The Internet is closed today for Indian Diwali.
3. Google has finally committed Hara-kiri! Check out Seppuku if you do not know what it means.
4. Someone at long last has pulled out my plug:-(
Anyone else or am I just having a couple of good hours?
Maybe this is why stats have been slow today?
Have they been replacing the rubber bands?
Has someone kicked butt?
