That would explain why Clicks, CTR, eCPM and $$s all down, but impressions maintained...
I don't see any "crappy" ads, but the ads served are un-spacific to the page displayed. I also noticed some specificity-leak, eg ads for keywords-specific-for-page-1 showing up on page-2-with-different-keywords. WHY would people want to click on ads for Widgets, if the page is about Gizmos...
Of course also HUGE drop in Google SERP, from 7 -> 7 -> 9 -> 429 in last 4 weeks as per GWT... (VERY REVEALING to have the "1 month ago" "3 weeks ago" "2 weeks ago" "Last 7 days" feature in GWT...)
Reviewing the SERP, one thing I have noticed is that there appear to be now many news sources (newspapers, periodicals, etc.) ahead of me...
BTW, no major changes to site last 8 weeks... and no TLAs, cloaking, etc...
Depressing...
I wonder if today's maintenance will resolve this?
As I mentioned before, I see many many new/different advertisers on my pages.
I also see targeting is generally correct but not as specific as it used to be - this accounts for the new mix of advertisers.
As a result of the slightly less focused ads my CTR is down somewhat. However, my CPC is up nearly 60% over the last week. Likely due to the additional advertisers competing on the pages.
Overall my CPM is up a bit - maybe 30%.
I like the changes since I'm not hammering the few advertisers that used to show up. Now clicks are spread around a little (with less clicks generally). This is better for the long term.
I'm also seeing a few huge click values - haven't seen that since last year.
To add more competition I cleared out my blocked sites too.
Keep up these good changes Google!
What amazes me is the abject unwillingness of some to accept the reality of this and their absurd rationalizations to attribute it to normal market fluctuations. Actually it doesn't amaze me, it simply reminds me of my long-held and disturbing contempt for ordinary human intelligence in general.

Ditto! Some of the stupidest smart people I've ever seen. It's not them so they get all pushy with their ridiculous theories about why we're wrong.
My eCPM has recovered some, which has been cool. It's not pre-glitch by any means, although each morning it starts off strong and fools me.
Has anyone else noticed this pattern:
Extremely high eCPM until about 9am CST then a steady decline with a spike again starting at around 11pm until 9am or so. It may just be me, I think my advertisers have possibly set their accounts to show at maximum pace until they have reached budget... you just never know!
One more thing, is anyone else noticing that the hours of sleep you are getting at night has had a direct correlation with the sharp decrease in eCPM?
