Anyone else seeing extremely slow or stats not updating at all?
Are they having a sneeky maintenance on a Saturday afternoon and hope no one will notice? :-)
it would be quite quasisassumptious of us.
LOL...that's right, don't keep your customers happy, keep them in the dark and hope they don't notice:-))
I thought serreptitious was quite a nice description for it however it would seem as though the borg require us to use only words of one syllable...hmmm...good job I haven't had a beer:-)
I hope they are stuck because that would esplain the low balance. However, I always seem to end up much lower on a stats stuck day.. Probably coincidence or perception...

Would be helpful in these kinds of threads if your observations were correlated with what your traffic logs. On a weekend day it could likely be slow traffic so it's extra important to correlate it with what your logs say.
For instance, it's a Saturday. People in the US are out enjoying the day or watching (American) football.
Edit: to comply with martinibusters's suggestion. My visitor numbers and page-views look normal for a typical saturday and for the season. Today the CTR and eCPM are definitely up. However the ads don't seem to have changed.
Maybe just my lucky day.

Actually, Saturdays are not my best but all numbers are very good, especially CTR & EPC.
MB- American football is overrated and I think, for the most part, it's a Sunday thing. Hell if I know for sure... roundball is my game!

Well mines up by 35 percent today! Very odd. Normally dead steady plus or minus 5 percent over 3 years. So I expect to make the usual $100+ today even with lower traffic than normal. Or a little better maybe.
Do you buy traffic by any chance or is it natural search/links etc?

NFL on sunday
college on saturdayboth have significant followings
This is a non-sensical argument!
Realistically you could say it about any sport. Real football is played on a Saturday in the UK and Germany and much of Europe on a Sunday however the average of my stats reflect their football following every weekend.
Heck, it's snowing outside therefore everyone's gone skiing...or are they inside using the Net because they can't play football?
It's the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday therefore all petrol heads won't be using their cars?
It's all about averages and from week to week I can see a consistency from my metrics and when that consistency changes significantly then I post my view and ask if anyone else is seeing similar.
Hell, the pub's open all day long, that's my excuse for not being on the Net and clicking ads!
I appreciate your clarification.
A significant following, to be sure, but certainly not the same impact as a holiday, US or otherwise... was my intended meaning.
The internet has become significantly intertwined in most peoples lives, as of late. I don't see people starting and stopping events as they once did (sitting down to watch an entire sports event AND doing only that, for example). It's all much more multi-tasking. As I write this, my daughter is sitting on the couch with a wireless laptop surfing, talking to friends on her cell phone and watching Gilmore Girls on TV.

I'm sure that, like me, you take into account such issues as day of the week, time of the year etc when reporting a good or bad day.

Funnily enough, we have weekends here in the UK as well. I believe they have weekends in Europe and most of the rest of the world too. Still means I can have good or bad Saturdays and Sundays.
For me, in the UK, with my site picking up traffic from New Zealand & Australia (where it's now Sunday) UK, Canada & US. My stats are up for 19:25 BST on a Saturday. (I mean of course that they are better than this time last Saturday and the Saturday before).
The end of last week was down for me (i.e. compared to the end of the week before). But that was before I got the inflexion right in the chant. ;)

Geez.
That's why I noted, specifically and consciously for the benefit of those who stereotype Americans as ignoring the rest of the world, "People in the US are out enjoying the day or watching (American) football."
Strictly a comment about US traffic.
As you perhaps may not understand, as an advertiser with experience targeting Europe, Australia and elswhere (English and non-English, too), I am keenly aware that US traffic in the English speaking world is the most signficant in terms of traffic from ONE specific country.
It is only appropriate to note what is going on in the United States if your English speaking traffic is slowing down.
By the way, it's the World Series of Baseball in four hours, so no doubt there are millions in in the US in preparation for this event.
