March was a UP/Down month for many, but was generally a quiet month.

April has "two Easters" (Catholic on 5th and Orthodox on 12), an official Google update on 21 (mobile algo) and probably the doorway pages update.

In the last yeast, Google rolled some big updates on holidays, so it's time to prepare yourself for a rough month.

Lot of Bot activity through Firefox 27 again but no adsense clicks (are were taken away by Google). Time to close the door on FF 27 again.

With my earnings the past 3 days, if that's a new average, then I would be looking at taking 5 months, maybe even 6 months to make what I averaged in one month not that long ago. I promised myself not to look, but I did. I didn't think it was possible to be lower than yesterday, but indeed that's the case. There is definitely something unexplained happening to me right now. You can take any of my previous poor daily reports from the past and flush those. Those are nothing compared to what I'm seeing right now. Cash parking would be challenging these earnings. Wow. Is there a new text ad unit making the rounds? A double click to verify or something? That's the only explanation, although I don't see any notifications in my account.

That happened to me on April 7, 2011 and I never recovered. It has only gotten worse. On a yearly average I lost 90% of my AdSense income. Now it seems that Google has put me down even farther in search. My website has been online since 1999, it's responsive and it passes all tests for HTML5. There is nothing further I can do. Meanwhile, I see websites all over the place who have literally stolen my recipes (in fact, still have references to my website in the recipes) and they do better in Google search than I do! I have threatened to just leave AdSense in my rear view mirror. This time I will give it one more week. If nothing improves, I will deactivate my Google account and go elsewhere.

Yesterday's USA PVs were my fifth-lowest of the year down almost 40%.

My UK PVs were still down, -14%, however its earnings were +254%, my EPC was +170%!

Don't count your marbles till the end of the month. Very interesting to see what will be left. I hope that somehow we can correct the standard reporting, I don't want to make my own in Excel.

Neither do I, and would never ever recommend doing so ever.
@netmeg, is there any way you can PM me the list of IPs that you personally recommend blocking or have blocked to avoid any potential AdSense attacks?

Thanks in advance

Google announced partner revenue increased only 1% in the first quarter of this year versus the same quarter last year. So if you are breaking even so far this year, count yourself luckly.

Breaking even when on almost zero is not that difficult, well that's until they start charging us to display their ads...not!

That's something my dev oversees and it's spread across a whole bunch of sites, plus I'm also blocking scrapers and others; there no really easy way for me to do that. You might visit the spider & bot forum here though - there's a lot of info sharing that goes on there though.

AdSense has officially died for me today, more than 10 hours into a Google day and I have still yet to register one click from the USA and of the clicks I have had there are far too many for .01 to 0.03 ... fubard again or is this the end?

If April's earnings reach 200 quid I will be very surprised. Remember that scene in the film "2012" where we see John Cusack driving the limousine and all the ground is crumbling away behind him? Well, I feel that's what's happening with AdSense at the moment.

The one thing that I know for sure is that the 160 x 600 skyscraper ad units are the ones that earn the most for me, those and the bottom 728 x 90 banners at the end of my articles. The banners at the bottom are already in place, I think it's time to start experimenting more with the skyscraper units, maybe I will do away with some of the units above and below the contents and heading and see what we can do to improve things.

Anyone else feeling delayed? I've had 1,000+ pageviews from the US and not a single click, which is very unusual. Plenty of clicks from elsewhere though.

EDIT: Ignore the above, just had a big dump. After eight hours with no US clicks.

Something is broken. I'm enjoying the earnings today and yesterday was reasonably nifty also.

I dont hope so. Best Sunday ever, if we don't count last weeks click bombs. Got even some really fat clicks from countries like Zambia, Egypt and Estonia. RPM is fantastic. April has 2 faces, low in the beginning and great at the end. Hope it will stick.

Yes, April started very poorly for me (thanks to Easter) but has recovered in the second half. Traffic has grown and the monthly RPM is back on target. Won't make as much as March thanks to the dud week at the start but pleased so far.

I have a comment, yesterday was like Easter and my 4th lowest PVs of the year.

My two biggest sites have been hit by the mobile update, they are both non-responsive, and since the 21st have averaged 87.4% of PVs.

My sites are all mobile ready, but the audience it's not, so it must be something else.

We've been doing pretty well lately with AdSense, but that's probably because our topic is seasonal to a great degree. (When winter comes around, I'll be tempted to pull the ad code again.)
