March was a UP/Down month for many, but was generally a quiet month.

April has "two Easters" (Catholic on 5th and Orthodox on 12), an official Google update on 21 (mobile algo) and probably the doorway pages update.

In the last yeast, Google rolled some big updates on holidays, so it's time to prepare yourself for a rough month.

First day of stats are always interesting.

Highest paying click around a dollar. Lowest less than 10% of that.

Some pages seem to attract bottom feeder advertisers.

I'm already up 250% over what I made for all of March 1, and I still have more than half of April 1 to go. Please no clawbacks, please no clawbacks, please no clawbacks...that would be too cruel of an April 1 prank.

For me the same lousy CPC/eCPM like the last 4 days...

It is probably to early to make any assumptions, but first day of April looks extremely promising plus it is also a first day of the financial year, which for many companies means new marketing budget, so lets hope that this can reflect on our earnings.

Today is very very very strong day for me.

I dropped all of my Adsense units to the bottom of my site as a test, underneath other ads. While CTR dropped, CPC skyrocketed and so the total RPM ended up not being too bad. This tells me that either top dollar ads are going to the bottom or that there are tons of CPM ads bleeding over from AdX.

Over £200 shaved on Finalized earnings. Don't trust them an inch.

I hope it's a delay. Traffic's fine. AdSense isn't.

"I hope it's a delay. Traffic's fine. AdSense isn't."

Ditto. Thought that CTR was coming back, but yesterday was dire.

The 1st was an absolutely diabolical day for me being in the bottom four of 2015 for earnings and the lowest for clicks, obviously CTR was in the pan and as for PVs, what happened? My logs say normal day G says 77.7%...fubard, again.

My traffic and earnings are both crap and are likely to stay that way until Tuesday. Use to love holidays like Easter, now I curse them.

I had almost three days worth deducted from my March earnings, thanks G.

Today's CTR so far is 11.9% of average...yet another screwed-up start to a month, this is now becoming a pattern for me.

much lower cpm for april compared to march, like 60~70% lower. a beginning new quarter perhaps. looking for it to gradually increase back through the month.

about 2% deduction for me for the finalized earning.

hoping this year overall will be better. trying to break into more niches and verticals to increase my traffic numbers as well as diversification.

I'm giving up and leaving everything on autopilot, it's utterly pointless trying to do anything in my widget sector now.

Maybe I'll see some of you in another forum board, then again I may give up altogether I'm that pi$$ed off with it all.

Hahahaha...AdSense has totally and utterly blown up on all my sites, clicks, therefore CTR, have completely collapsed.

Where March gave me record heights, April starts with record lows. Traffic is declining which is normal during Eastern/Spring break, but what's the story with the RPM? India is outperforming the West! I have never seen such low CPC's during this period.

Just for the record, my lowest-ever clicks day at 40.6%, my previous low on April 1st was 53.1%, needless to say yesterday was also my lowest-ever CTR.

Something is very, very wrong in Googleland.

Oh man, April has started off so bad. It's almost as if I've gone back to the Stone Age, I really don't know what is going on. Clicks haven't dropped drastically, is just the money I'm getting for the amount of clicks. Silly thing is, you think you've got a really good layout that seems to work, then all of a sudden everything changes and the money starts dropping. Has anyone got any tips, maybe ad units and placements that are working for them at the moment? Whereas the 160 x 600 skyscraper unit seem to do well for me, I'm now finding the 336 x 280 units either face at the beginning of the content, or second paragraph down embedded in text are generating attention. Having said that, I've made half so far of what I would normally expect to make. Terrible

Here's an easy prediction for my sites, today I will see my lowest ever PVs by a big, big margin...I'm not even getting any spam mail that's how dead it is.

At least Today has got off a little better, couldn't be any worse than the last two days. Even though I'm in the UK, my website is a .com site, therefore the majority of my traffic comes from the US, so I literally have to wait until the next day to see how well I've done. Somebody in the US told me that because they've had such bad weather, everybody wants to get out of the house, therefore website traffic should be expected to be fairly low. One would like that to be true :-)

I'm in the UK and mostly 90% us.com sites rule my SERPs sector even though none of them can supply, the results are not even a joke, they're pathetic.

Have your clicks dropped at all? The amount of clicks I received have dropped slightly. However, to give you an example of how bad things are, last week I think I made something like £12 from 41 clicks, a couple of days ago, it was something like £4.50 from the same amount of clicks. And these are the same ad units in the same positions on the pages. I know you guys use CTR as an example, I basically just look at the amount of clicks :-)

The first and second of April combined did not manage my daily average, I've given up with this farce but will keep reporting the lunacy that is happening.

Same here, but today is definitely looking a bit more promising, I'm already ahead of the full days earnings for the last few days. Anyway, I now look upon my AdSense monthly earnings of just a small bonus and not something that I should plan the future on. I was earning three times as much this time last year, I don't know where it all went wrong.
