What is your best $$$ day on AS to date?

How much money did you make on your best day in 2005?

I expect this thread to have a wide range of numbers. The reason for my inquiry is motivational, and educational. I want to know where I can get to by the experiences of others. I know when I started with AS I was sooo happy to break the $10 mark (for the day). Now my top day is $27. My milestone will be the $100 mark for the day.

If you have a good story to tell, please do. I'm sure many of us would surely benefit from your story, and/or advice on the subject.

Also, do you set goals on what numbers you want to achieve?

Thank you in advance.

I've had AS on since April and my best day was last Tuesday - almost broke my record for $50 for the day. Ironically, my worst day ever was yesterday, just 4 days later (but everybody is out shopping for gifts in stores, not online). Goes to show AS is a roller coaster ride.

For the posters with small amounts, don't get discouraged. I've been adding pages steadily since joining AS and my numbers as well as traffic are rising slowly but constantly. You have to start somewhere. Just don't get too involved with numbers at first. Adding quality content on a regular basis is what will make your site rank high in search engines and repeat visitors.

One Tuesday in November was just a few pennies shy of $870.
Second highest was a few days earlier with just over $845.
In fact November saw 7 of our 10 highest days ever.
Then December headed into our annual traditional slow season, so hopefully January will see more new records.

I was looking for 'Brett's 26 Steps [searchengineworld.com]', but the link didn't work. I am certainly curious to read it.

Can anyone help get us the correct link posted here?

Thanks.

'Brets 26 Steps' was very informative. Worth reading for anyone interested in increasing hits on their website. Who isn't? Thanks to Martinibuster for the correct link addy.

MikeNoLasteName very inspirational numbers posted $845 and $870. Keep up the good work.

Rookiecrd1 excellent day of $1520! That is the highest posted in this thread so far.

I'm still looking to break the $30 mark, but getting closer all the time. Thanks all.

Yesterday hit over $650.

Most of my high revenue days come from CPM campaigns. My site has a very low CTR (it's a community, mostly the same visitors)

Still trying to break the $10 a day barrier, but I'll get there :) then aim to get well beyond.

A month or so back, I wrote the following on my white-board, by way of self- encouragement!

"An article a day makes Google-ads pay"

Reading Brett's excellent "26 Steps", this is the most often-mentioned piece of advice he gives, so it must work ;)

hit my record of $20.51 on tuesday, had dozens of $19 since March but never broke the 20 barrier til tuesday. My daily earnings are very consistant, no dizzy highs and no depressing lows.

That's excellent!

My best day was around $1200, and that's thanks to a mention in a frontpage article of a prominent newspaper, in addition to above average days from my smaller sites.

There's nothing better than getting mentioned in the media, whether it's in the NYTimes or on Slashdot - both will help your bottom line. Just make sure your server can handle the blow.

I got mentioned in the Washington Post, but on a subject which has really, really low-value clicks. So I got the traffic, maintained the standard eCPM, and made... essentially nothing. ;-)

That's rough. My site that got mentioned on my big day is one of the "big" sites for a pretty popular term, so I sure made out well.

I have a mini-site that has no AdSense but sells products, and when that was mentioned in an online article, seeing the sales inrease was a very rewarding experience, as it was my product being sold, rather than just more clicks.

Write content focused on topics that others in the field can't write about - or at least can't write as well. Unique info is what brings visitors back...and it's also what acquires links, respect, etc.

My new website got published on December 17th, and my traffic jumped to an extra 15k hits a day. I was hovering around $26 a day for the last three days. Finally last night I checked my stats, and Wham $40.94 for the day! Woo Hoo, I was hoping to break the $30 mark, and I achieved the $40 mark instead.

Then, I woke up this morning to see how much $$$ I made while I was sleeping. I opened up my IE to my new site and I saw a distressing sight, "Bandwidth Exceeds... blah, blah, blah" - What the?

I immediatley emailed my new hosting company. Autoresponder, ugg!

I was on the phone since 7AM this morning trying to get in touch with my hosting company. Finally, at 1PM this afternoon, I got a call back. I upped my bandwidth (at an additional cost of course), to 100 gigs.

I am happy to say, "I am up & running again," and focusing on the $50 mark.

With the help of my new website and a beefed up bandwidth plan, it expect it won't be long before I reach it.

I once had a daily blip that took me above $90, but the last couple of days following a reshuffle of how I use adsense has takem me from the $50's to the low $90's for a couple of days running :)

Billy, no problem, first I need you to tell me WHERE I can "live like a king" for $50/day.

But here's a hint: It helps to have a site dedicated to a subject that visitors AND advertisers are willing to pay a lot for information about, rather than necessarily a lot of traffic.
