Am I choosing a suitable schema type for my data?

my site is about tourist attractions - museums, natural attractions, etc. I am wondering what would be the best schema type I should use. I know about schema.org/TouristAttraction but I am not sure if this is the most appropriate one to use for Google because I am not the official site for these attractions. I just write about them from my own experience. Is there any other appropriate schema types for my site?
Thanks!

Schema isn't for determining the official source, it's to help the search engines make sense of the page. The one you mention is perfectly appropriate.

Or "article" might work. It depends on the nature of the material that you're marking up.

Thank your for your replies.
I have two types of pages - category pages and individual pages with details and photos of the attractions. Can I have the schema/TouristAttraction to both? The reason I am asking is because this will create duplicate listings - from one side from the category page and from another from the individual pages. Is that a problem?
