Manual Penalty - Should I Remove Old Links ?

I received a Manual Penalty about "Unnatural Links" pointing to my website.

Should I remove very old links (3 years) that Google might not like, or should I focus on more recent links?

most definitely those old links...every link in your profile needs to go under the scrutiny.

You should remove / disavow the unnatural links, whether new or old.
