Is a javascript widget that links to advertiser news feed a paid link?

An advertiser wants me to place a (third party) Javascript widget on my site that shows their RSS feed headlines and summaries in a box.

The widget does not no-follow the links to the advertiser's site. Is there a risk that Google will regard this as a paid link? I have noticed that ad networks (including Adsense!) do not no-follow links in ads inserted using JS, so I think it ought to be OK, but I would like to be sure.

I think there is little risk because if you are looking to buy paid links you probably aren't going to use javascript. If you are worried about it, have you thought about using an iframe to block the search engines from seeing it?

I never thought of a iframe. Silly as I have used them before... but as you say its probably not necessary.

Thanks for the reply.
