For an affiliate pointing to a white label, does it matter whether or not there is domain masking in place, for ranking and quality purposes.

Does the mere fact that the URL being pointed to, through a link, or even widget code with referral strings in it, being different from your website's URL's, matter?

@phranque - In our case it will be several days before we receive instructions. Are there differences in the way domain masking is approached and it's effects on SEO ?

Whitey - For starters, let me suggest site search here....

Reading the first half dozen threads or so will help you focus your questions. You'll also get a sense of where domain masking might matter and where it might not be necessary.
