Google Analytics: Pre July 25 2013 referring site data gone?!

looks like google rolled out a new section in analytics, Acquisition.

now Referring sites, search, social, direct, etc are shown as a channels. however channel data is only available starting July 25, 2013! why would google delete all the prior data? is anyone else having this issue?

now one cant dig into site referral paths prior to that date. you can still see which site sent you traffic, but not from which page :(

Yes, the same is happened to all my website's account but I can see the organic traffic data under 'Keyword' -> 'Organic'.
Please check, you also would be able to see that.

Under 'Channel' -> 'Organic Search', we should have old data technically and it looks like a bug.

I noticed the 'Acquistion' section in place of 'Traffic Sources' last night - just checked again now and yes, "there is no channel data prior to 25 July".

If you go to 'All Traffic' you can still see referral data there before that date but not on a url by url basis, just site by site.

Just had the same issue and almost LMS. No worries though you can still get to it. Here's how:

In GA under the acquisition tab go to

> all traffic
> secondary dimension > choose: landing page

That will display your landing page urls prior to Jul 25, 2013. Then export to filter by channel.

We're not talking about the landing page on your site (the url the referral came in on), we're talking about the referring page on their site (the url the referral came from).

However, you can still get at the urls from each site if you play around with Custom Reports, involving the 'referring url' metric.

Just pulled data pre July 25 and had the same issue as you under Channels.
