Direct traffic drop on october 1st?

Hi everyone

I manager an e-commerce website in several countries, all of them happened to see strange fluctuations with direct traffic

I'm wondering why my direct traffic lost 30% on october 1st (which was "transferred" to search traffic) only on Safari. I'm speaking of 5K visits / day "transfer".

I know iOs direct traffic issue has been fixed in beginning of August, we had the same drop, but this time I can't find any information on the internet so far.

Have you seen this too?

I haven't seen a drop on October 1st for the sites I manage. The safari traffic is behaving normally. Have you checked to see how your site performs on mobile browsers? Alot of safari traffic comes via mobile search and those rankings tend to be more sensitive to site speed.
