Hey all.

I've just found out that since December 2012 (3.5 update) if you had the Title attribute filled in on Wordpress gallery images (as well as the Alt tag) that when you put the images into a post the title is wiped.

Am I right in thinking if the Alt Tag is there I shouldn't worry about this?

Just wanted to sound you folks out before I go back through the last 10 months of blog posts titling them all again......

The title is useful. The alt is essential. If you were forced to choose, you'd have to choose the alt.

Are you using the most recent WP installation? This seems like a fairly silly mistake on their part-- the kind that typically results in a hasty 3.5.1 coming hot on the heels of 3.5.

Hi Lucy,
It's a deliberate thing in Wordpress.

They wanted to disable tooltips for accessibility. It seems there was a big hoo haa about it online when it happens but I was completely oblivious to it all.
