Google showing H1 text instead of page TITLE in search result?

I always thought Google shows page title (whatever is in the <title> tag of the page) as 1st line of each result.
But looking at the search below, it seems Google is showing as 1st line of content the <H1> tag.
<snip>

Am I right? Is Google showing the content of the H1 tag as 1st line of the serach result or something else got from meta description?
Even more and more interesting when search on Bing the same site comes out, but this time it shows the real page title as 1st line:
<snip>

Kindly share your ideas about this issue.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld! Next time you might want to use the search function before posting. Here are just some of the threads that have discussed the many different ways that Google has been rewriting titles:

Title in SERPS replaced by link anchor - August 2013 [webmasterworld.com]
Google is now rewriting all my page titles - July 2012 [webmasterworld.com]

There's also an ongoing thread about titles and alts on images where the title show in the SERPs is being replaced with the alt of the company logo on the home page.
