I'm intending to start a new website in a very competitive and saturated niche where the top 10 sites have domain authorities on the likes of 60+ I totally understand it would be an extremely tough battle, but I feel confident at building back links and content, however according to current circumstances i would like to gather intelligence on what defines natural and a strong back link profile.
I would like to instigate a debate with the following questions.
Q 1. What percentage of your links should be pointed to home page?
Q 2. What percentage of links should be to the money pages?
Q 3. What percentage of links should be to the pages which hold money pages e.g categories
Q 3. When acquiring links to Home Page, what percentage of links should be Exact Match, Branded, Partial Match, Random?
Q 4. When acquiring links to Money Pages, what percentage of links should be Exact Match, Branded, Partial Match and Random?
Q 5. What are the symptoms of natural looking back link profile?
Q 6. What percentage of links should be nofollowed?
Q 7. What percentage of links should be from blog posts, news sites, forums, directories?
It would be interesting to know if someone can do a backlink analysis of powerful sites and speak the numbers.
Please ignore all other variables such as content, social, site structure and only take account of back links.
