Thanks to SERoundtable [seroundtable.com] for spotting this key information. There's a question that comes up over and over: Will Google allow me to geotarget a particular ccTLD?

The answer used to be pretty simple, but that was the old days, before smaller countries started selling their ccTLD extensions to those from other lands. Sure, we learned the first few (.fm, .tv, or .cc) but how what? What about .am? What about .ws?

According to Pierre Farr, it turns out that Google now maintains a full list of how they will handle various ccTLDs - so you can check before you buy! See Geotargetable domains [support.google.com]

I guess Barry's lucky about his .bz ccTLD until Belize builds a large enough internet economy to eclipse the American usage of .bz ...now competing with .biz to also stand in for "business". ;)
