I am webmaster of a website, now a day facing lots of problem with keywords ranking. My website ranking is down with all main keywords.

While researching the reason of fall in keywords ranking, I have noticed Google is not showing Meta title tag’s data on the search result page. It’s normally showing the header tag data and URL’s name on the search result page.

Are you people also facing this problem? Has Google stopped showing Meta title tag’s data on the search result page? If yes what are the exact solutions of these problems? Do we need to focus on header tag replacing Meta title tag?

Please suggest me best solution what i need to do in this situation.

Thanks

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

For a long time Google has been rewriting title tags for their serps. They typically do this to make the results more relevant to the user.

If you are trying to diagnose a drop in traffic to your website I would not worry about Google rewriting your title tag. I would look at if your title tag was good for a user and not just over optimized for SEO.

I'm facing a similar problem. Used a domain for development purposes with a title. 5 weeks ago i changed this domain to a live site with a other title. Google is not picking it up. Strange thing!
