Same niche sites but different countries geographically targeted

Hi all,

I have heard that multiple sites of same niche on same server and IP are frowned by google.

But what should I do, if I am targeting same niche but each site is targeted to a different country geographically.

Do I need to get dedicated Ip for each one of them? Or google would understand and not deindex my sites. I have seen a friend of mine whose multiple sites of news niche were all deindexed (he was hosting them on same server)... so what should I do?

From several experiences, there have been no ranking problem at all when the geographic targets are different.
