How often does google update it cached version of the results ?

Knowing that when I search the web I always search a cached version of the web ( it is not live )

It's different for different sites - and roughly the higher PR pages are updated more frequently.

Are we talking about Google's cache or the latency on current Google previews? Google cache, reached by clicking the "cache" button above previews, has been two months old or more on pages in which the screen-capture image preview is up to date. Doesn't the cache copy trail behind previews a certain amount of time intentionally?
