Hi,
does anybody know what parts of a G+ account are (not) indexed?

The profile and pages are indexed, posts not?

Everything gets indexed ...with the exception of whether a user decides to check the "Show this tab on your profile" box.

Are you sure that a sharing link with a comment (after clicking +1 on a site) is indexed?

All posts?

All posts are indexable (if the sharer allows the public to see it)

Hitting the +1 button on external pages, and adding a comment is also indexable on its unique URL (again ..if the sharer makes it public for all to see).

Even without making a comment, any url that is +1'd is added to the user profile's "plusones" tab (which is public and indexable by default, but can be made private by the user).

It is not actually public. Try accessing your own [plus.google.com...] when logged out

In my case, it redirects to [plus.google.com...] (the page where my public updates are visible)

And on other people's profiles I can't even see that tab.

There might be an option somewhere to make it public but I don't see one...

I guess we can use ole Matt as an example.
[plus.google.com...] [ [plus.google.com...] ]

That URL seems to be indexed, and it can be viewed whether logged in or out at G+.

Found that option! It's under "Account" -> "Privacy and Visibility". You can include that part on your profile.

Since this is the first time I've seen the option and my own pluses are private, I guess the default of this option is that pluses are not public...

Post in profiles & pages are confirmed but what about "comments" ?

I remember an article - may be one year old - where the author claimed that simple sharing links (via +1-button) were NOT indexed.
He talked about sharing links, not about the "plussing", as fas as I remember.

So this is "yesterday" obviously?

@Ann, I remember it being default for me. So maybe they changed it ? They're always tweaking.

Simply logout and visit the page with comments. If it's visible, it should be indexed.

Comments are visible if the update they are attached to was set to "public"

I don't hink it has ever changed: that all depends on the update itself. If you keep "public" unselected and only select your circles, the update is going to be private.

The only BUT is that some friends may re-share it to their pages and may choose to make it public (though they will be prompted that you probably didn't want to)...

Not sure! I may need to register a new account with G+ to make sure but what makes you think the default has changed?
