How intriguing. Looking at those serps it look quite negative.

Google has given its review of Microsoft's Windows 8---with its search results---and doesn't like the operating system all that much.Google Autocomplete For Windows 8 Seems Negative [zdnet.com]

Looking at Bing, there's some negativity there about Google, too.

Here are the suggestions that were offered a few moments ago for some searches I made on Microsoft’s Bing search engine involving Google and its flagship products.Bing doesn't like Google all that much, either [zdnet.com]

The story compares apples and oranges to make an inaccurate point. The author compares different query entries when he looks at the autocomplete suggestions for the two engines.

Here's what I see when I type in...

windows 8 is (followed by a space)...

In Bing...

windows 8 is
windows 8 is awesome
windows 8 is terrible
windows 8 is slow
windows 8 is ugly
windows 8 is a mess
windows 8 is crap
windows 8 is a disaster
windows 8 is confusing

In Google...

windows 8 is
windows 8 is horrible
windows 8 is terrible
windows 8 is awesome
windows 8 is a disaster

I'll let someone else follow up on like queries about Google.

PS: When you compare consistent queries, you see that the engines don't differ much. It's the searchers, not the engines, that are negative.
