Multiple Authors for Single Page

Few days back, I verify two authors on a single page with email and Google authorship link.

Now what i found in Google that:
1. This page is indexed twice.
2. first URL with author pic and second one with no photo and second URL is also changed (canonical URL), while in first page source canonical URL is different.

I did not add any canonical URL value in second page.

Now my question is Can there be two authors for a single page (using G+ profile) and will Google display both authors photo in search results.

For a single site there can be multiple authors but i don't think Google will consider 2 authors for a single page.Both can be verified by G+ as author but in search results only one will be counted.

No. Why Google will provide too much space to a single site?
