It looks like a part of Knowledge Graph is now rolling out globally. I can see its full feature in Google UK but see only Related People here in Google Japan.

I was noticing last night when testing some navigational type queries related to tabbed results [webmasterworld.com...] that Related People was coming up on many navigational searches for corporate names, even if there wasn't much else to be said in Knowledge Graph about those companies. Maps were also a common feature in many company searches.
On some single word searches which were company names, though, the Knowledge Graph returned wasn't always for the #1 ranking result which received the tabbed sitelinks. In one example, it was for a university (more or less the second set of results) with the same name as the company that ranked #1.
