Any way for a custom URL in Google Plus?

Is there any way to get custom URL with company or product name in Google Plus as we do in Facebook pages.

Supposedly they're coming, but I don't think they're officially there yet (except for some big brands)

Now you might already have a personal one, if created a Google profile (back when they still had them) with your name in it; I do.

In the short term, I just made a redirect off my own domain - example.com/+ - for it.

You could check [gplus.to...] for an 'unofficial' but quite elegant custom url

True, but if the end goal is to establish some kind of branding on Google+, I'd think you'd want to use your own name if possible.
