Can Mobile and Main Site Use the Same On-page SEO?

For a main site , we have a mobile site also. As all products and services are same, can we use same titles and other meta tags on mobile site as we have in main site.

It will be negative or not as so many title and metas will be repeated twice on same domain.

On sites that I have worked with, the mobile site uses the same title and meta descriptions for the equivalent pages. This has caused no problems with Google. Google does not see the same page targeted to different devices as duplicate content.

The only legit reasons that I can think of to differ them would be:

1) The pages don't match up one to one. Maybe on the mobile site, big pages have to be split into multiple pages.

2) The titles and meta descriptions are too long for good display on a mobile device and they are edited for brevity.
