I thought there was something in webmaster tools that allows you to display the actual page title in the SERPs of your site, instead of using the DMOZ title, but I can't find it.
Is there? If not how else can you change it?

There is a meta tag you can use for this purpose:

<meta name="robots" content="NOODP">
...or
<meta name="googlebot" content="NOODP">

And if you have the same issue with an old Yahoo directory title, you can use

content="NOYDIR" (or "NOODP,NOYDIR") as well.
