Ok this is something new I have never seen,
Some pages in my site start to show on Google with http://w.domain.com or http://ww.w.domain.com, The www version is also indexed. has anyone seen this before?

You have a configuration problem with your DNS settings.

Redirect all non-www requests to the www version.

You could simply fix the DNS issue so that nothing other than www resolves but if other URL versions are already indexed and ranking those visitors will hit a brick wall as soon as you change the DNS settings.

I'd redirect for now, then fix the DNS in several months time.

Make other subdomains redirect as g1smd suggests, but leave the DNS as it is. If you "fix" the DNS as he suggests, then typo traffic won't be able to find your site.

I think that's why he said "several months time". That's long enough for g### to get their indexing sorted out. They'll keep asking for the wrong URLs until the cows come home, but the googlebot gets redirected along with everyone else.

If you have the energy and there aren't too many, you could check whether any of these phony addresses come from "real" links with a typo at the other end. But most of the time it isn't worth the trouble.
