Pages not in Google's cache after Panda hit

One of my sites was hit by April's rounds of Panda refreshes. Shortly after being hit, I noticed that no pages of my site were cached by Google. That remains true to this day, but I don't know for how long it's been true.

I launched a total redesign of the site within a few days of being hit by Panda (the timing was coincidental, it was something I'd been working on for awhile).

In your experience, is it common for Google to stop caching pages on pandalized sites? Conversely, is there anything I could have technically changed during the redesign to dissuade Google from caching the pages?

Hi Sand,

We had several attempt at similar discussions. The first was locked and I started a more accurate one which can be found here: [webmasterworld.com...]

I would like to get more attention on this thread because I think its important in regards to the penguin update.

To answer your question, this is exactly what I am seeing as well. It seems low quality pages are being de-indexed from google. This has meant many low quality directory link pages and other low quality pages that do not offer much value have been removed from googles index. Websites are likely losing link juice from these pages as well. Please review my thread, it could really use a bump and I would really like for people to start talking more about this.

My pages are still indexed, and they're ranking alright (not pre-panda levels, but they're still ranking). Google just isn't providing links to cached versions of my content in the search results.

When you google a page on your site, does it show up in the results? If it does, you're saying there isnt any cache link associated with it?

Yes, that's exactly right. The page shows up in the search results, but there's no cache link for any page on my site that I can find.
